Lunch @ Kia Hiang

Had lunch with my colleagues at Kia Hiang located at International Plaza. We ordered their signature Claypot Chicken, Pork Chop, Stir-fried Kai Lan with Garlic and Hot plate tofu omelette.

The claypot chicken was wrapped in cabbage and stewed for hours. The meat was so soft and tender that it simply melted in your mouth.

The pork chop was also very tender and it was easy to eat it. However, I find that it was too marinated with plum sauce that it overpowered the original taste of the pork chop.

The stir-fried kailan was pretty well done. It wasn’t too oily or salty.

The hotplate tofu with chopped prawns were wrapped in an egg omelette. Quite nice but I find it a bit oily though.

We also ordered homemade barley water and rice to go with the ordered dishes. Total bill for 3 of us is $47.08. Quite reasonable.
