Bak Chor Mee again? No… it’s Zha Jiang Mian or Braised Bean Sauce Noodles.
I was craving for this ever since Tues. Well, actually on Tues, Hyacinthus and I went to this Sichuan restaurant (Chuan Jiang Hao Zi Steamboat Restaurant) at Chinatown and we ordered a bowl of Zha Jiang Mian each. However when it was served, it doesn’t look like Zha Jiang Mian to me. Looks more like Bak Chor Mee but the soupy version. Furthermore, the noodles looks to me like instant noodles instead of those that’s normally handmade.
Anyway, I had very delicious Zha Jiang Mian today from Long Xi Zhong Hua Xiao Chi. Their pan-fried gyozas and dumplings are very delicious too. But I did not order them today as I don’t think I could finish so much food alone.
