Super Duper Sweet Korean Strawberries

Bought these super duper sweet strawberries from a fruit stall in Tanjong Pagar. These strawberries are from Korea.

I paid $9 for this box of strawberries (14 pcs per box). The price range for such Korean Strawberries is $9-$12 per box with about 10 to 18 pcs per box depending on the size of the strawberries. This is my second time eating these strawberries. Though it’s extremely pricey but I felt it’s worth it exp price tag as every piece of strawberry is so sweet, juicy and yummy.

There are lots of fruit stalls at Tanjong Pagar market selling a wide variety of fruits at very reasonable prices. The fruits are mostly sweet and juicy. If you happen to have lunch in that area, do drop by to the fruit stalls to get some nic, sweet and juicy food to round up your lunch. :)

Nice Zi Char dinner at Seletar Hill Estate

Last night, I had a very very nice dinner with my family at this Zi Char stall tucked in a corner of a small coffeeshop at Seletar Hill Estate.

The food were very nice but we had to wait quite a while for it as there were quite a number of people having dinner there.

We ordered a medium portion of Deep Fried Oats Prawns. $12 for a small portion. My family members loved it very much. The prawns were crispy and favourful

Also order Stir-Fried Sambal Baby Sweet Potatoe Leaves. This veg is so tender and nice. The spiciness is just right and not too salty. Goes well with plain white rice. Can’t remember whether it was $6 or $8 bucks for the small serving.

As some of my family members don’t take spicy stuff, we also order stir-fried spinach with garlic. The veg was nicely done and tasted great :)

We ordered a plate of curry chicken with rice for our maid. She said the chicken meat was very very tender (chicken thigh were used for this dish) and the curry was very spicy and nice. She simply loved it.

Ordered this Yi Pin Guo that includes ingredients like prawns, sea cucumber, top shell, fish slices, brocolli etc. The sauce was really nice.

Also ordered a plate of black pepper pork. It’s quite nice except that I find that too much black pepper was used that it overpowered the original taste of the pork.

What is the name of this Zi Char stall? Well here it is :)

PS: I later found out that this Zi Char stall used to be from the old Seletar Food Centre (which had been demolished now)

Chowon Garden Korean Restaurant

Went with a friend to have lunch at this Korean restaurant opp URA Building. It offers value for money set lunches and my fav is their Saba set. The set comes with one Saba fillet (big and very meaty and nicely grilled), rice, egg with cabbage soup, a slice of watermelon and 5-6 side dishes nicely presented in a single plate. The set lunch comes with free flow of korean tea.

As usual, I order the Saba set, while my colleague had the tempura prawn set.

Saba Set Lunch (After taxes it cost approx $10)

5 side dishes nicely served in a plate. Some of the side dishes offered changes daily. The only 2 staple side dishes that do not change are kimchi and the ikan bilis.

Juicy meaty piece of Saba Fillet. Yum Yum :)

My friend commented that they gave her alot of huge prawns for her tempura prawns set. Really value-for-money.

I can’t hardly finish everything. There is so much to eat. I really love their set lunch :)
