Chingay had gone to the heartlands in the North. It started in Woodlands from Causeway point then goes through the Woodlands Housing estate before going to Sembawang New Town then Yishun New Town. However, there was a last minute change in the original route when it came to Sembawang. Due to the last minute change, many people who had been patiently waiting along the original route were seen scrambling to the other side of the road in order to catch a glimpse of the beautiful proccession.

1st vehicle of the procession. Instead of driving straight (as planned in the original route), it suddenly turned left. This caused quite some confusion with the crowd waiting along the road as they scrambled towards the other part of the estate in order to catch the moving floats. I was one of those running after the floats after stationing myself at the original route from 7.30 pm onwards
