[Part 3] Fixed Deposit Rates (Sing Dollar) – Which is the best deal around?

It’s been a couple of months since I checked out the fixed dep rates for Sing Dollar. And I am disappointed that the rates had fallen quite drastically as compared to 5-6 months ago. See my prev review (in Sep 07) on the fixed dep rates for comparison

Here’s an illustration of the fixed dep rates for 12 month tenure.

I am surprised that DBS offers one of the best rates for deposits >$50,000 (and comparable to finance firms like HL Finance). Normally, the rates by the 3 big local banks would be lower than those offered by Citibank and finance houses like HL Finance and SingInvestments.
