Zhong Qiu Jie Kwai Le – Happy Mid-Autumn Fest

Today is the 15th of the Lunar 8th Month and is also the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is an occasion to celebrate family togetherness by having dinner together followed by eating mooncakes and admiring the huge round moon. You will see kids walk around with the lit paper lanterns at the parks on this day.

Saw that in recent years, the paper lanterns made a come back with increased popularity as compared to the electronic type. My personal fav is those made from cellophone paper and stick onto the wired frame to be fashioned into some animal shape. When lit, the paper ‘animal’ lantern glows.

So do be home early today to enjoy a nice dinner with your family to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Fest.

And Happy Mid-Autumn Fest everyone!! :)
